A guide to add custom content for showcase extra information

For customers to have a better understanding of the store, you can utilize the Custom content section to display informations, showcase products, or flaunt customer testimonials.

How to add and customize a custom content section

Steps

1. In the theme editor (Customize), click Add section

2. Locate Custom content

3. Save

You can modify the column gap in your Custom content as Large/ Medium/ Small/ No Gap:

Block settings

There are several blocks that can be added based on the requirements in the screenshot below.

Some blocks are similar as they have appeared in theme sections such as countdown timer, product form (featured product), image cards, etc. Each of them will have its settings.

Image and text blocks

Text block

Use the provided text field to add a suitable heading/subheading/description. Can leave it blank if merchants do not want to display it. Set up a call-to-action button, text color/size, and alignment.

Image block

In this block, you can easily add images and change the width and the alignment of the container.

Text with scrolling promotion block

Adjust the Color scheme for this block.

In the Scrolling promotion setting, you can add Text content to to catch shoppers' attention.

To change the scrolling settings, adjust the Direction (Left/ Right) and the Speed (0.1x - 3x) to suit your website's aesthetic.

Similar to the Text block, you can use the provided text field to add a suitable heading/ subheading/ description

Leave it blank if you don't want to display it.

Set up a call-to-action button, text color/size, and text alignment.

Lookbook items and product bundles blocks

Product bundles

Use the provided text field to add a suitable heading/subheading. Can leave it blank if merchants do not want to display it. Control block width and add the products that merchants want to include in the bundles.

Lookbook items

For tagging products on the item image, you must add the chosen products. They can be easily adjusted by using vertical/horizontal alignment.

Product and video blocks

Product

Add a product that you want to display for the block. Adjust the container width and alignment.

Video

Add a Youtube video link and adjust its ratio. The video image cover can be left blank if you want to use the video thumbnail.

Use the provided text field to add a suitable heading and change its color and size. Can leave it blank if you do not want to display it. Modify the video button style, size, and video width. Additionally, the video can be played in loop and autoplay when customers visit the site.

Blog post & newsletter form blocks

Blog post

Add an article that you want to display for the block. Adjust container width, alignment, and image size.

Enable/disable showing the published date and author.

Newsletter form

Use the provided text field to add a suitable heading/description as well as the email placeholder and button label. Can leave it blank if you do not want to display it. Control form style, and container width.

Image card and countdown timer blocks

Image card

Allow you to use the provided text field to add a suitable heading/subheading/description. In case, you want to hide them, simply leave them blank.

Adjust the container width, content position, etc.,

Add a call-to-action button to direct customers to the product detail page. Add a Label then choose a Button style and adjust the Button size.

Countdown timer

Adjust the container width, alignment, and end time of the timer.
